    George Dew

George graduated from University of Colorado Boulder in 1984 with a Biochem degree after trying really hard and not quite making it in Chemical Engineering. Although he wanted to stay in Boulder, he was shipped off to San Diego where he completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training and then served six years as a Navy SEAL, with tours at SDV Team ONE and SEAL Team FOUR.

In 1990, he left the Navy to get his MBA at Georgetown. Upon graduation, he worked on Wall Street, but quickly realized that the whole banking thing was a mistake. He then joined the Central Intelligence Agency for five years, where he ran spies as a case officer in the Clandestine Service.

Following his stint at the Agency, he worked for The Ackerman Group (for whom he still freelances today). There his work included resolving international kidnapping cases, death threats, extortion threats and so on.

Today he owns a New York-based IT company specializing in systems integration, software development, and IT security (hence the "Dark City").

George is a certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor and has enjoyed Judo, amateur wrestling and of course fantasy role-playing games. He is fluent in Spanish and French, and he is conversational in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Fortunately, none of the adventures he writes draw on any of his real-life experiences.
